The cinematic landscape witnessed a remarkable feat as Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 advanced into their third weekend at the box office, collectively amassing an impressive ₹437 crore nett within domestic borders. With an ambitious aim of crossing the ₹500 crore nett benchmark before concluding their theatrical journeys, both films have demonstrated robust staying power.

    Singham Again’s Two-Week Triumph

The Ajay Devgn-led Singham Again concluded its second week on a commendable note. Following a stellar opening week that garnered ₹173 crore nett, the film added ₹44.5 crore nett during its second week, bringing its 14-day domestic tally to ₹220.50 crore nett, according to trade insights from Sacnilk. The day-wise breakdown for the second week is as follows:

    • Friday: ₹8 crore
    • Saturday: ₹12.25 crore
    • Sunday: ₹13.5 crore
    • Monday: ₹4.25 crore
    • Tuesday: ₹3.5 crore
    • Wednesday: ₹3 crore
    • Thursday: ₹3 crore

    Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’s Solid Trajectory

Meanwhile, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee and featuring Kartik Aaryan, delivered an equally laudable performance despite operating on a relatively modest budget compared to Singham Again. After a stellar ₹158.25 crore nett during its opening week, the second week brought in ₹57.85 crore nett, propelling its 14-day domestic total to ₹216.10 crore nett. Here’s the day-wise collection for the second week:

    • Friday: ₹9.25 crore
    • Saturday: ₹15.5 crore
    • Sunday: ₹16 crore
    • Monday: ₹5 crore
    • Tuesday: ₹4.25 crore
    • Wednesday: ₹3.85 crore
    • Thursday: ₹4 crore

    Cumulative Performance

Combining forces, both films have achieved ₹437 crore nett domestically and ₹524 crore gross. On the global front, their collective gross earnings have surged to an astounding ₹675 crore. The lifetime forecasts suggest these blockbusters are poised to surpass ₹500 crore nett in India alone, marking a monumental achievement for the Indian film industry.

    Strategic Success and Future Competition

While Singham Again has performed admirably, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has emerged as the dark horse, leveraging its economical production to generate remarkable returns, particularly in its second week. With nearly half a month left for an unchallenged theatrical run, both films are expected to maintain momentum before the highly anticipated Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, sets the box office ablaze upon its December 5 release.

This period has been nothing short of cinematic brilliance, with both movies showcasing the resilience and allure of well-crafted storytelling that resonates with diverse audiences.
